What we build
Software built for you, and yours to keep
A SaaS subscription makes you work its way, for as long as you keep paying. We build software around the way you work, on modern web technology, and you own all of it. Five kinds of work, each with an example you can open.
- Tools your customers use themselves. Configurators, calculators, planners and visualizers that live on your site. The customer sets up the product or the job and sees the result, in 3D or on a photo of their own building where that helps. What reaches your team is a complete specification instead of a first phone call. It runs in the browser, on phones too, with nothing to install. Example: the 3D configurator for Pentagon Security Shutters, where a customer builds a rolling shutter and gets a spec sheet for the dealer.
- AI features and products. A model that drafts, scores, sorts, answers or searches, working on your own content and saying what it based an answer on. Before a feature ships it has to pass a set of cases with known good answers, and we keep scoring it after launch. The model provider can be swapped. Examples: IWE’s editor and Pocket Philosophy’s referee.
- Web apps and platforms. A product for your customers, a tool for your own team, or a marketplace with two sides. Accounts, payments, admin, email, scheduled jobs and the public site are built properly in the first version, so the second version is about the product and not the plumbing. Examples: IWE, with its subscriptions, and Fetchpawz, with owners on one side and rescues on the other.
- Branding. A name and a position, a logo, colors and type, a voice, and everything they go on: the product, the website, email and print. Example: Fetchpawz, which we rebranded from Fetch, an app for rating dogs, into the pet app with a rescue mission, with cats alongside dogs, an illustration set, a new website and emails, and cards to hand out.
- Launch and hosting. Every launch comes with tests, monitoring and a written procedure for each likely failure. Then it’s your choice. Host it yourself, on your own servers or your own cloud account, and we hand over everything you need to run it. Or let us run it for you: hosting, backups we test by restoring them, upgrades, and someone to call who built it. See how IWE and Fetchpawz are run.
A brief, or an idea you’d co-own
Clients bring a brief. We reply with a proposal, then we build it and launch it, and keep running it if you want us to. You own what we build: the code, the design and the data, under your name. Host it yourself or move it to another team whenever you like. Our name appears on it only if you want it to.
Founders bring an idea and the people it’s for. We build and run the product in exchange for a share of the company, as we do with Fetchpawz. The venture keeps its own name, brand and voice.
