Fetchpawz

What it is

Fetchpawz is a pet app with a rescue mission. Owners make a profile for their cat or dog and swipe through other owners’ pets, rating the good ones. Each week a top dog and a top cat are crowned. When a pet goes missing, owners nearby who asked for alerts get an email. And in the same deck, between the other pets, are animals from rescues looking for a home, with a way to give to the rescue directly.

The partnership

Fetchpawz is a venture. Its founder brought the idea and the community, we build and run the product, and we own the company together. It has its own name and its own personality. Nothing of ours shows.

The rebrand

Fetchpawz started as Fetch, an app for rating dogs. In July 2026 we rebranded it: a new name, a new position as the pet app with a rescue mission, and cats alongside dogs. It came with a set of illustrations, a new marketing site with a waitlist, a new email design, and business cards and giveaway cards to hand out.

What we built

The brand and the whole product: the app for owners, the admin for the team, the weekly crowning and the lost-pet alerts, photo moderation, payments for rescues, and the marketing site.

Behind it

A missing pet’s public location is drawn once, at random, inside a radius the owner picks, and never recomputed, so a share page can’t be worked back to a front door. Every photo is screened before anyone else sees it, and if the screener is down the photo waits for a person. A deploy runs 14 checks before it builds anything, dumps the database before a migration runs, and stops at the first fault. A donation goes straight to the rescue’s own Stripe account, and card details never touch the app.
